Monday
When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet – Proverbs 3:24
Seeking the Lord and His wisdom (verse 21) will bring us release from all our fears, and lighten the burden of our problems.. Verse 25 says we will have no fear of sudden disaster or ruin when the Lord is at our side.
Particularly as we lie down to sleep, we can take some time to meditate on the holy presence of the Lord in our lives. We can allow the reality of his love to fade our problems into the background, perhaps appearing in new light, the following morning. Meanwhile, we can rest.
